Surgery Tecniques

The surgeries are classified according to the mechanism that will provides the loss of exceed weight: restrictive, malabsorptive and the combination of both.

Restrictive procedure reduces the stomach size.

Malabsorptive procedure also reduces stomach size, but is based mainly on creating malabsorption.

There are mixed procedures (combination of restrictive and malabsorptive), but ones more restrictive and others more malabsorptive.

Many things are analyzed in order to choose the procedure, like: age, sex, organic disturbs, psychological, nutritional, etc.
