Diagnosis for the Treatment
The first consult has the purpose to define the level of obesity, guiding the patients that have surgical indication for the surgeon.
And the ones that do not have surgical indication will search the probable cause of obesity (hypothyroidism, suprarenal diseases, use of medications, etc), identifying other diseases (co- morbidities) and their respective treatments.
That moment the patients are redirected to the other specialties from the multidisciplinary group.
